Chris August Connects with “Center Of It,” Pulling In 64 Stations In Just Two Weeks at Radio

Lead Single from Much-Anticipated New Project Now Available at iTunes®

Forthcoming Album, The Upside of Down, to Land on August 21st

Nashville, TN, June 20, 2012: As the lead single from the appropriately dubbed The Upside of Down-due out August 21st-“Center Of It” is certainly the new center of attention at Christian radio. As Chris August continues to recover from an April skateboarding accident that left him hospitalized, the Dove Award winner had both Christian AC and CHR’s most-added single in its debut week for “Center Of It.” The single is being played at 64 stations so far, receiving support from an impressive 57 total stations in its first week impacting radio. Additionally, the song, co-produced by August and Ian Eskelin, is now available via iTunes®, where it debuted in the Top 10 on the Christian & Gospel Songs chart.

The upcoming release of his second Fervent Records project, The Upside of Down, has planted high hopes within August to reach people and encourage them to live for something greater than themselves. “I’m excited for people to hear these songs and my hope is that their lives are impacted by them,” he says. “I wanted to write songs that could speak to each and every person and would ultimately point them to Jesus. I hope you can hear the hard work that went in to make this record the very best. I’m so proud to share this with everyone.”

The album’s title parallels his recent skateboarding accident in which he embraced the ‘upside of down’ and was humbled by the healing process over the last couple of months’ events. August explains the symbolism of his new album title: “Even in the ‘down’ part of life, I’ve had such intimate moments with friends being at my house and lifting me in prayer; I’m really connecting with Christ on a new level. I couldn’t ask for anything else through all this!”

After missing a handful of tour dates this spring due to his injuries, August was able to finish out several sell-out shows with MercyMe in May. This summer, he’s playing many festivals including FishFest 2012, Creation Northeast and Northwest, and many more. For more information on August’s upcoming tour dates, please visit www.chrisaugustmusic.com.

Owl City Announces Details of New Full-Length Studio Album; The Midsummer Station – Drops August 21st on Universal Republic Records

First Single “Good Time,” Duet with Schoolboy Records/Interscope Artist Carly Rae Jepsen – Drops June 26th on Universal Republic via iTunes and all Digital Service Providers

North American Promo Tour Kicks off July 9th in Toronto at the Mod Club; Full World Tour to be Announced July 9th

New York, NY – Owl City has announced details of his new full-length studio album The Midsummer Station – due out August 21st on Universal Republic. It was a month ago when we announced news of the new album and gave fans a taste of what to expect with the release the Shooting Star EP on Tuesday, May 15th. Since then, through a series of incredibly successful Twitter interviews where #OCTMS trended worldwide, Owl City revealed the details of the album along with the incredible cover art.

Owl City’s Adam Young took a bold step forward on the new album by choosing to work with co-writers and outside producers for the first time. For example when it came to working on “Shooting Star” – the first song released and one of the focus tracks on the album – he enlisted his friend Matt Thiessen (Relient K), Stargate (Rihanna, Wiz Khalifa) and Robopop (Maroon 5), and on “Gold” – another focus track on the album – he enlisted the team of Josh Crosby, Nate Campany, and Emily Wright (Dr. Luke’s engineer).

In addition, Young is joined by two very exciting guests on the new album. On “Dementia,” Young is joined by one of his heroes, blink-182’s Mark Hoppus. The song documents some of the more psychotic thoughts and feelings Young dealt with in the wake of his platinum debut album Ocean Eyes and one of the more rock-inspired cuts on the new album. And on the album’s first single, the incredibly infectious pop gem “Good Time” (written and produced by Adam Young, with Matthew Thiessen and Brian Lee as co-writers), Young is joined in a duet by “Call Me Maybe” star Carly Rae Jepsen.

When asked about working with Jepsen, Young said…
I love Carly’s song “Call Me Maybe.” I remember hearing it for the first time and immediately became a huge fan of hers – it is absolutely contagious. A bit later, I actually found out that she had known of my music for a while and even went to a couple of shows of mine in Vancouver so I definitely knew I wanted to collaborate with her.

And Jepsen had this to say about working with Young…
This song is pure, sweet summer. Big thanks to Adam for letting me sing on it. I hope it makes people smile. Abandon all plans and take an impromptu road trip!

This mutual admiration and excitement to work together can be heard on “Good Time” – an undeniable summer anthem.

By embracing the idea of working with others, Young was able to grow as an artist and producer and really explore new aspects of song writing and production. This openness was born out of several positive experiences collaborating with other artists including Paul van Dyk (“Eternity”) and Armin van Buuren (“Youtopia”). The eleven songs on the new album reflect this growth while still retaining Young’s synth-driven melodic pop sensibility.

As Owl City gears up for the release of The Midsummer Station on August 21st, the band will embark on a short North American promo tour, prior to announcing a full World Tour on July 9th. The trek has Owl City playing intimate venues in most stops along the way (many of which are already sold out). Confirmed dates below and for ticket details please visit www.owlcitymusic.com.

For Houghton, the tour follows two back-to-back Billboard Top 200-selling, GRAMMY Award-winning solo studio albums, as well as his first live recording in five years with New Breed, Jesus At The Center, which releases Aug. 14 on Integrity Music. Recorded live over four days in front of more than 29,000 worshippers at Houston’s Lakewood Church, this double-CD, 18 song album with three additional studio singles features Israel & New Breed returning to their roots, delivering new anthems for the modern day church.

HILLSONG’S New Album CORNERSTONE Set To Release Next Week, July 3

MUSIC VIDEOS FOR “CORNERSTONE” AND “HOPE OF THE WORLD” DEBUT
ON FACEBOOK

HILLSONG LIVE CORNERSTONE TOUR SET FOR SEPTEMBER

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -June 29, 2012 -Next week, Hillsong LIVE will release their latest church release, Cornerstone, on July 03, 2012. This album will mark the 21st LIVE release from Hillsong. Hillsong LIVE is the expression of worship from the globally influential Hillsong Church. Pre-orders of Cornerstone are available now at iTunes, which already went No. 1 on the iTunes’ Christian & Gospel Chart during the pre-sale.

Earlier this week, Hillsong LIVE introduced their first two music videos from Cornerstone, for “Cornerstone” and “Hope Of The World,” on their Facebook page along with Vevo. “Hope Of The World” is also the debut radio single currently going for adds. Click here to watch the live performances of these inspirational songs.

Early reviews have stated that this is another needed resource for the church in today’s society. Here is what media outlets are already saying about Cornerstone:

When Hillsong releases a new project, listeners pay attention. The music arm of the Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia, has been supplying the worship soundtrack for churches around the world for the past two decades. Although it would be easy and unsurprising for the group to repeat its classic sounds of the past, Cornerstone showcases a sound that is ever-evolving for modern listeners…… ….. With a sound targeted toward younger ears, Cornerstone fits nicely among the ranks of emotional pop rock of Passion and Hillsong United. – Charisma Magazine, July issue

If you are looking for new worship songs to sing with fellow believers, this album is chock-full of congregational songs, especially “Endless Light,” “Cornerstone,” “Hope of the World,” “Running” and “Stand In Awe.” …Cornerstone is the top overall album by Hillsong LIVE…every single song could be added to your Sunday morning worship set. – New Release Tuesday

About Cornerstone:
Cornerstone was recorded in Sydney, Australia last fall with tens of thousands in worship at filled-to-capacity Allphones Arena. It captures the heart and sound of Hillsong Church globally representing the coming together of the Hillsong worship teams from around the world including Reuben Morgan, Joel Houston and many more. This album offers fresh, new songs to congregations worldwide with a simple desire to place emphasis on Jesus and a prayer that people everywhere will be encouraged to find hope in Christ, the Cornerstone.

This new resource is filled with songs such as the title track, a new anthem “Beneath The Waters” (I Will Rise), an upbeat praise song, “Running” as well as the debut radio single “Hope of the World.” Cornerstone showcases 12 brand new songs written by Reuben Morgan, Joel Houston and a great team of writers. It will be available for sale as a CD, DVD and a Physical Deluxe version that contains both the CD and DVD in one special package.

The inspiration behind the title track “Cornerstone” was birthed out of an international tragedy last summer in Norway when more than 70 innocent victims, many children, were killed. Hillsong’s worship leader Reuben Morgan shares his response to this frightening shooting as he was visiting the Scandinavian Peninsula.

“When you write songs that people sing as part of their worship to God there is a bit of your soul that shares the aches of those around you. When there is tragedy, the song of lament wakes up with you, and when there is joy, the sound of praise fills your ears. To some it might seem really odd to reach for a guitar when tears are falling on scuffed up shoes, but I really don’t know any other way of being.”

While the title track may have been inspired at that moment, Morgan says the message is even bigger, posing a question for every citizen of the world to answer: Who or what do we turn towards for our strength? This album, like all of Hillsong’s projects, is more than a group of songs, it is a profound message that builds faith, stirs the soul and asks and answers the big questions.

“We only just have the time to forget the face of the gunman when another chorus of sirens wail,” explains Morgan. “We have barely cleaned up after the flood when an earthquake strikes. When the earth shakes, we look to our feet and wonder what it is that we are standing on. Christ is the Cornerstone – it is Him that is the anchor.”

Hillsong LIVE will be coming back to the U.S. to tour Cornerstone beginning in September. The Hillsong LIVE Cornerstone Tour will begin September 12th in Boston, MA. Tickets go on sale for the 12-city tour on July 20th. For more information visithttp://www.premierproductions.com/. Dates listed below.
