Toby Mac Announces New Tour, Worship, Stories & Songs Tour Featuring Matt Maher For Fall 2014

Five-time GRAMMY® Winner TobyMac has announced the “Worship, Stories & Songs Tour” which will hit the road this fall and will feature Matt Maher and Ryan Stevenson. TobyMac, who is renown for his live performances, will bring together the three artists in a night of fellowship in intimate venues and musical settings across the country.

The “Worship, Stories & Songs Tour” will be a totally different TobyMac show, a time where it’s not about the lights, smoke or big stage. Instead, it will be more intimate and personal, a “storyteller’s night” where Toby will share where the songs came from.

Kicking off in Madison, MS on November 6, the tour will make select stops in 20 cities before wrapping in Ft. Wayne, IN in mid-December. For full tour dates and more information, see below. Just last month, the K-LOVE Fan Awards honored TobyMac with the “Best Live Show” award. Completely voted upon by fans, TobyMac was nominated alongside Switchfoot, NEEDTOBREATHE, for KING & COUNTRY, Newsboys and Rend Collective.

Earlier this year, TobyMac gave fans a special treat with the world premiere of his music video “Speak Life,” which debuted on cable’s top-rated morning program Fox & Friends. John Schlitt’s Christmas Album, The Christmas Project, To Hit Stores September 2, 2014

The first Christmas project ever recorded by Grammy and Dove Award winning vocalist John Schlitt, one of the most distinctive voices in Christian music, will be available September 2 through Send The Light Distribution and Munce Group Stores. Schlitt’s The Christmas Project will also be available in Family Christian Stores, Lifeway Christian Stores and others, for the 2014 holiday season.

The full-length CD is comprised primarily of beloved traditional Christmas carols, but that doesn’t mean The Christmas Project is all egg nog and holly. This album rocks with the unmistakable John Schlitt style that legions of fans have come to know and love. The icing on the Christmas confection is an original tune, “What Christmas Needs to Be,” which is destined to become a seasonal classic.

Schlitt launches The Christmas Project with what is arguably the greatest Christmas song of all time, “The Hallelujah Chorus.” While Handel’s masterpiece has been interpreted by a multitude of musicians over the past 250 years, no one sings “hallelujah” like Schlitt. “The Hallelujah Chorus” transitions seamlessly into a guitar-driven, barn-burning version of “Do You Hear What I Hear.” “Little Drummer Boy” gives Schlitt the freedom to explore his full range of vocal prowess, starting at a muted whisper before embracing his full-throttle, wailing rock roots while holding fast to the traditional melodies of the beloved carol. Fans can look forward to a music video of “Little Drummer Boy” by the award-winning Saylors Brothers (Israel & New Breed: Live From Another Level Concert DVD) in time for the holiday season.

Schlitt reins in his potent vocals for a gentle, reverent interpretation of “O Holy Night,” then ratchets up the intensity on “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” a rock-inflected fist-pumper that is guaranteed to get the listeners’ blood flowing. The versatile vocalist shifts moods to one of pure fun with the funky Irish reel “Good Christian Men Rejoice,” then slides comfortably into the mellow, bluesy “That Spirit of Christmas,” made popular by the legendary Ray Charles.

Melancholy keys and strings embellish Schlitt’s emotion-laden vocals on the traditionally arranged “We Three Kings.” The gently rocking “What Christmas Needs to Be” leads into the project’s closing tune, the reflective “What Child Is This.” “What Child Is This” provides the perfect foil for Schlitt’s signature vocal stylings, allowing him to channel his passionate delivery through a filter of awe at the enormity of this central event in history.

Schlitt utilized the popular crowd funding platform Kickstarter to raise financial support for the new album.

About John Schlitt:
For more than three decades, John Schlitt has enjoyed a stellar musical career as a solo artist, as the lead singer for Grammy Award-winning Christian band Petra, one of the most successful Christian rock bands of all time, and as the former lead singer for popular ’70s mainstream rock band Head East. He has been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame as the lead singer of Petra during the years when the band won 10 Dove Awards and four Grammy Awards. Schlitt was named the best rock singer in Christian music history by GospelMusicChannel.com. According to the website, Schlitt “remains one of the most distinctive and impactful men to ever stand behind a microphone.” Schlitt was also named Male Vocalist of the Year in About.com’s 2011 Readers’ Poll in a category that included Chris Tomlin, Jeremy Camp, Brandon Heath and Bebo Norman.

Since Schlitt released his fourth solo CD, The Greater Cause, in May 2012, the legendary vocalist’s busy schedule has included appearances on The Mike Huckabee Show, 700 Club Interactive and the Faith & Freedom Celebration–the faith-based kick-off to the Republican National Convention, as well as extensive international touring.

The Sound Of Jesus is a unique record as it was written for the church to sing but produced with a sound to draw people outside of the church. It is a mix of upbeat, pop sounding beats with a mix of deep, intimate worship through the lyrics.

Comedian Bone Hampton to Appear on THE VIEW this Thursday, July 24, 2014

Award-winning comedian Bone Hampton will appear on ABC’s The View this Thursday, July 24. Hampton will perform his lauded stand-up routine during the show’s Sherri’s Comedy Corner segment. The appearance marks Hampton’s fourth appearance on The View – twice as a host on “Guy Day Friday,” Co-Host during “Male Best Friend” Day, and once during Joy’s Comedy Corner.

Recipient of the 2013 GMA Dove Award Grady Nutt Humor Award for Comedian of the Year, Hampton’s latest DVD, “UnOfficially Famous” released this past April and is available at bonehampton.com.

Hampton can also be heard in Nashville every Monday and Tuesday morning on “Mighty Good Day” with Stellar Award winner Lady Shaunte’ on 760AM The Gospel, and is part of the comedy tour “The Heavy Hitters” with Chinitta Morris, Akintunde and Marcus Wiley. For tour dates visit bonehampton.com. This fall he will be headlining the GMA Dove Award comedy show during GMA Dove Week 2014.

About Bone Hampton:
The term “crossover” is seldom used of comedians, yet the word is the perfect descriptor for “Bone” Hampton, one of redemptive comedy’s most well traveled and in-demand funnymen. Bone’s comedic smarts know no bounds. One day he can be seen working the crowd at a comedy club, the next he’s doing his thing at a church gig, and the following he’s making a splash on a hit sitcom. Such is evidenced in his diverse resume, including “All About Steve” with Sandra Bullock & Bradley Cooper, NBC’s My Name is Earl, ABC’s Less Than Perfect, and reoccurring appearances on TBN’s “Praise the Lord,” LeCrae’s “Higher Learning Tour” and on the “Thou Shalt Laugh 2 and 5 projects with Tim Conway and Chonda Pierce.

Gospel Star Kierra Sheard’s New Album Graceland Tops iTunes Gospel Music Chart

Los Angeles, CA – Kierra Sheard releases her highly anticipated album, GRACELAND, today, July 22. The newest judge on BET’s 7th season of “Sunday Best” gets personal on GRACELAND and shares her ongoing inner battle between self-conviction and condemnation. Gail Mitchell from Billboard states, “Sheard’s triumph over turmoil ultimately triggered what is arguably her best and most versatile work to date. GRACELAND brims with self-introspection and lessons learned as a fearless Sheard bares her soul and shares a revelatory, yet joyous journey that everyone can personally embrace.” Kierra collaborated for the first time with celebrated pop songwriter Diane Warren (Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, Céline Dion) and rising songwriter/producer Harmony Samuels (Ariana Grande, Fantasia, Michelle Williams).

The exuberant first single, “2nd Win,” marches its cadence fittingly underscoring the song’s message about overcoming life’s challenges. Kierra samples the Clark Sisters’ song, “They Were Overcome,” paying homage to the trailblazing work of the group’s members: Sheard’s aunts and her mother, Karen Clark Sheard. GRACELAND’s other quintessential tracks range from the guitar-driven, folky mid-tempo title track (“I Fall All the Time,” says Sheard. “That song touches me because it’s what I feel every day”) to the rap-accented anthem “Moving Forward.”

In addition to promoting Graceland, Kierra recently launched a signature hosiery line distributed by Walgreens and is recently finished filming the second season of her family’s BET weekly docu-drama, “The Sheards,” airing this Fall. Kierra’s philanthropic campaigns include her youth organization: BRL (Bold! Right! Life!). The Non-profit is fifteen chapters strong and is staging its 9th annual conference (Aug. 7-9) in her hometown Detroit. Sheard recently launched a PSA campaign with Saving our Daughters to support young girls battling homelessness and date abuse.
