From his early days leading the critically acclaimed band, According to John, to his impactful ministry as a solo artist, John Wallerhas continually used his gifts as a singer and songwriter to inspire, educate and encourage the body of Christ. With such powerful songs as “The Blessing,” “While I’m Waiting” (featured in the No.1 independent film of 2008, Fireproof) and “As For Me and My House” that have been cumulatively streamed nearly 10 million times on YouTube, Waller continues to articulate what it means to live a God-centered life in a turbulent world with “Crazy Faith.”

Faith is the key inspiration for all new and original songs on Waller’s upcoming album, Crazy Faith, releasing Aug. 21, 2015 through City of Peace Media and Capitol Christian Distribution. His first new album in four years, the recording features not only the title track, but the compelling anthems “I Know My God” and “The Orphan Song,” as well as live bonus tracks of “While I’m Waiting” and “As For Me And My House.”

Already garnering acclaim, the song “Crazy Faith” has been selected to be featured in the theatrical release, War Room. The highly-anticipated fifth film from Alex and Stephen Kendrick, the award-winning creators of Fireproof, Courageous and Facing the Giants, is a compelling drama with humor and heart that explores the power that prayer can have on marriages, parenting, careers, friendships and every other area of life. The movie will debut in theaters nation-wide through Sony Pictures Entertainment’s TriStar Pictures on August 28, 2015.

“John Waller has written the songs for some of our favorite faith-based films,” says Greg Bays, Executive Vice President, Capitol Christian Distribution. “Along with his many fans in the United States and abroad, we’re excited to be partnering with John and City of Peace Media in the next chapter of his career, as part of the Capitol Christian Distribution family.”

City of Peace Media COO, Don Noes, says, “We’re thrilled to work with John and his captivating new album, Crazy Faith. The inclusion of his music in several Christian films is a positive testimony to the numerous lives he has touched and blessed.”

“We’ve seen John’s music touch millions of lives with ‘As For Me and My House’ (Courageous) and ‘While I’m Waiting’ (Fireproof). ‘Crazy Faith‘ (War Room) is going to challenge people to step out in faith and prayer like never before – for such a time as this…,” says Yochanan Marcellino, City of Peace Media Founder and CEO.

About John Waller
Georgia native John Waller first caught the attention of the Christian music community as frontman for the band, According to John. When the group disbanded, Waller and his wife Josee moved to Colorado where they helped launch Southlink Church. Though he had given up his aspirations as a recording artist, he began writing songs at Southlink that led to a new chapter in his ministry and signing a record deal with Beach Street Records/Provident Music Group. His major label solo debut, The Blessing, introduced a wider audience to Waller’s music, earning a Top 10 “Faces to Watch” nod by Billboard (2007). He followed his debut with While I’m Waiting, which included the poignant title track featured in Fireproof. The music video to the title track of his most recent album on City of Peace Media, As For Me and My House (2011), has received over 2.5 million views on Youtube to date. With the release of Crazy Faith this summer, the next chapter for Waller is about to begin. Waller currently resides with his wife and nine children in Atlanta.

Francesca Battistelli Celebrates Chart-Topping Success of Song He Knows My Name

francesca-battistelli-hit-song

From award show nominations to career milestones and hit songs, Spring 2015 is truly a time of celebration for Fervent Records recording artist Francesca Battistelli.

Battistelli’s “He Knows My Name” is up for Top Christian Song at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, the latest benchmark for a song that’s been life-changing in many ways. Battistelli celebrated its success last week when she visited the Nashville Mercy Ministries home. She came to the home to sing for and visit with the girls and was surprised with a No. 1 plaque celebrating the multi-week, multi-format chart-topping success of “He Knows My Name.”

The song, the second multi-week chart-topper from her 2014 album If We’re Honest, spent 14 weeks at No. 1.

“It’s been an incredible season,” Battistelli said. “We came off of seven straight months of touring to some really exciting things to celebrate. To have my label surprise me at Mercy Ministries with a plaque for ‘He Knows My Name’ was just so special. The song will forever be connected to Mercy, and to celebrate its success there was just so perfect!”

Battistelli assumed her second visit to the Mercy Ministries home was solely to lead worship and spend time with residents. Just last summer she gathered stories from four young women who completed faith-based treatment and included them in the 12-minute short film that served as the video for “He Knows My Name.” That inspirational film has been seen more than 1.2 million times on YouTube. Rod Riley, CEO of Word Entertainment, presented Mercy Ministries with a unique plaque commemorating the organization’s involvement, which has helped raise awareness for its mission. Mercy Ministries helps young women struggling with addiction, eating disorders, unplanned pregnancies and other challenges.

“God is using music to impact lives,” Riley said. “We’ll never see the full impact this song has had this side of Heaven, but we are seeing some of the fruit now.”

With new single “Holy Spirit” quickly climbing the charts into the Top 5, If We’re Honest has now produced three hits and pushed the already popular Battistelli to new career heights. She performed lead single “Write Your Story,” which spent six weeks atop the charts, on ABC’s Good Morning America and Fox News’ Fox & Friends. The six-time Dove Award winner has now sold nearly 1.5 million albums and is one of the genre’s top live draws as well. She just wrapped appearances on The Bible Tour 2015 and Winter Jam, which was attended by more than 600,000 fans.

Find out if Battistelli wins her first Billboard Music Award from 8-11 p.m. ET Sunday on ABC. She also is nominated for Female Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for “He Knows My Name” at the May 31 KLOVE Fan Awards. She will perform “Holy Spirit” during the show at the Grand Ole Opry. Fans can still vote at http://www.klovefanawards.com/vote.

Battistelli will be performing select solo and festival dates over the summer. For more information or to buy tickets, visit www.FrancescaMusic.com and follow @francescamusic on Twitter.
