Integrity Music Re-Signs Worship Leader Lincoln Brewster, Announces August Release Of Brewster’s New Album, Oxygen

Integrity Music announces the re-signing of trailblazing worship leader Lincoln Brewster, building on a 15-year relationship with the California-based musician who helped put a rock spin on modern worship while introducing the genre to contemporary Christian radio.

“I am honored to announce that after 15 years, Integrity Music will continue to serve as the music partner for Lincoln Brewster and his ministry going forward,” said C. Ryan Dunham, President of Integrity Music. “I have had the privilege of getting to know Lincoln and his wife Laura on a personal level and love their heart, their passion for serving and their dedication to their local church. It is a privilege to come alongside an artist like Lincoln, who has such incredible talent that he is choosing to use for God’s glory.”

Originally signed to the label in the late 90s, Integrity released Brewster’s first album, a self-titled debut in 1999 when modern worship music comprised only a small niche within Christian music before becoming the top-selling genre that it is today. Eight albums later, Brewster has made an indelible impact on modern worship, opening doors at Christian radio for other worship artists with his singles “Everlasting God,” “Let The Praises Ring,” “Love The Lord,” “Today Is The Day,” “Salvation Is Here,” “The Power Of Your Name” and more.

“In 1999, the only worship singles that were getting any significant airplay on Christian radio were songs from the debut SONICFLOOd project and Lincoln Brewster,” says acclaimed radio consultant Chris Hauser.

“I can distinctly remember getting adds for “Take Me Higher,” “The Power of Your Name” (with Jars of Clay’s Dan Haseltine) and even “Lord I Lift Your Name on High,” he continues. “These songs were taking root on radio playlists, opening doors for Lincoln as a ‘sure thing’ for great corporate, vertical songs that fit on radio while also paving the way for Chris Tomlin, Hillsong, the Passion movement records and many others.”

Looking ahead to August, Brewster and Integrity are preparing for a global release of his new album, Oxygen, which is co-produced by Brewster and Colby Wedgeworth and features all new songs penned by Brewster including the project’s first radio single, “Made New.”

“Lincoln is a renowned guitarist, songwriter, artist and worship leader who has produced many great albums and songs,” adds Dunham. “But with this new album, Oxygen, people are going to experience a whole new Lincoln Brewster. It’s a new sound with a nod to the past and a bold step forward… I believe it is his best album yet.”

Music has been an integral part of Lincoln Brewster’s life since early childhood when he would “sit in” on rehearsals with his mother as she played with local bands in their hometown of Homer, Alaska. By age five, Brewster was playing the mandolin and by age nine, he had picked up the electric guitar. That love for music took him down a winding road that included a season playing for rocker Steve Perry (Journey) and recording offers from mainstream labels all before he was 21. But Brewster, who had made a commitment to Christ in his late teens, walked away from the promise of rock stardom and instead took a position at his local church as a sound technician.

Years later, Brewster is again playing before thousands, this time leading people in worship at music festivals and concerts across the U.S., and at Bayside Church near Sacramento, California, where he serves as Worship Arts Pastor. Brewster’s recordings include the albums Real LifeJoy To The WorldToday Is The DayLet The Praises RingAll To You and Amazed.

My Favorite Worship Song At The Moment: Cory Asbury And New Life Worship’s Ascribe

One of the cool perks of having a popular blog is that christian record labels send me copies of their new albums.  And recently Integrity Music sent me their new album iWorship Now/New 2014.  And man have I been blown away by the songs on there.  The iWorship album is a compilation album featuring different individual songs by various Integrity artists and wow you should check out that CD.  Bu there’s one song on that album called “Ascribe” by New Life Worship Featuring Cory Asbury and believe me when I tell you to me it is one of the most incredible, soul-wrenching worship songs I’ve heard in a long time.  I play this song at least 7 times a day at various times, everyday.  I can’t tell you how much I love this song.  It is hands down my favorite worship song at the moment.

Integrity Music and Sony Music Release Playlist: The Very Best of Israel & New Breed

New Collection Is Latest Addition to Sony’s Popular “Playlist” Series

Integrity Music announces the January 21 global release of Playlist: The Very Best of Israel & New Breed, a 13-song collection that is the latest addition to Sony Music’s popular “Playlist” series featuring legacy artists that span a variety of genres.

A collaboration between Integrity and Sony, the project joins a long list of Sony’s best-selling “Playlist” titles from artists who have helped define their genres – – from Billy Joel to Billie Holiday.  Playlist: The Very Best of Israel & New Breed features songs from the GRAMMY Award winning group’s albums along with songs from New Breed founder Israel Houghton’s solo projects.
Known for bending genre rules, there’s no box that Israel Houghton can’t punch his way out of musically. Born from the circle of a white mother and a black father, raised within a blended white family, a Latino neighborhood and a spirited church, Houghton has challenged cultural and denominational biases since his youth. And he used his experiences to fuel the creation of his band New Breed as a means to overcome such divisions within the faith community. As a result, Houghton and New Breed have created a canon of songs that have become standards in houses of faith around the globe, while also earning GRAMMY, Dove, Stellar, Soul Train and Premios ARPA awards.
“I remember early on facing some walls and divisions that were skin-tone oriented, where people said you should just do it this way or just do it that way,” Houghton once told Charisma magazine. “White people would say, ‘Don’t do black music,’ and black people would say, ‘Don’t do white music.’ And it got so frustrating.” So, Houghton decided to just make the music his heart envisioned – meshing a variety of styles he refers to as a “Kingdom sound” – and eventually it caught on in a big way.
This “Playlist” album focuses on some of Houghton’s most creative musical moments that unite fans of Christian artists like Chris Tomlin and Gospel/Urban greats such as Kirk Franklin. In fact, Franklin, along with artists Michael Gungor and Fred Hammond, also make guest appearances on the selected songs as does Houghton’s friend, fellow producer and New Breed member Aaron Lindsey.
The Playlist features:
1.   Jesus The Same
2.   No Turning Back (Featuring Aaron Lindsey)
3.   You Have Me / You Hold My World (Featuring Michael Gungor)
4.   Jesus At The Center
5.   Everywhere That I Go
6.   Saved By Grace
7.   New Season
8.   Surprises (Featuring Fred Hammond)
9.   Not Forgotten
10. Again I Say Rejoice
11. Moving Forward
12. Love God Love People
13. Mercies (Featuring Kirk Franklin)
Playlist: The Very Best of Israel & New Breed will be available wherever Christian music is sold, including digital service providers such as iTunes and Amazon.
A worship leader and member of Houston’s Lakewood Church, Israel Houghton has also led worship for Hillsong conferences, Franklin Graham crusades and a variety of music festivals around the world. His latest, best-selling album with New Breed is the live, two-disc CD (and DVD) Jesus At The Center. He is currently producing a new Integrity album with Covenant Worship, featuring David and Nicole Binion. Additional information can be found at

Integrity Music Signs Songwriter/Worship Leader Dustin Smith, Prepares For Global Release of Smith’s Rushing Waters DVD/CD

Integrity Music announces the signing of songwriter and worship leader Dustin Smith and the forthcoming global release of his DVD/CD Rushing Waters on September 10.
Based in Kansas City, Missouri, Smith serves as a worship leader at World Revival Church. A pastor’s son, Smith has been involved in fulltime ministry for 16-plus years, including the past eight years on staff at WRC. He previously released six independent albums including Everything Inside MeOpen The Floodgates and Healing Waters, as well as teaching materials that cover a variety of topics such as “Are You God Conscious?” and “Function Before Title.”
Inspired by his church, his pastor and his own personal journey in Christ, Smith has written and co-written worship songs that range in theme from adoration and surrender to spiritual warfare. These songs include “Yahweh,” “Jesus,” “Reign Over Me” and “Rushing Waters,” a song that has moved beyond the WRC congregation to find a home in churches around the world.
“Dustin is a gifted songwriter and worship leader who has faithfully served the local church for many years,” says Craig Dunnagan, Integrity’s Vice President of Music Publishing/Ministry Alliances. “We are excited to partner with him in his growing ministry and we look forward to sharing his songs with the global Church.”
Co-written by Smith and Michael Farren (Pocket Full Of Rocks), the song “Rushing Waters,” was inspired by the picture of worship presented in Revelation 19:6 that reads: “Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting ‘Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns’.”
Recalling the songwriting process with Farren, who co-produced the Rushing Waters project, Smith says: “Michael had asked me what was on my heart. So I shared this scripture from Revelation… we were both overwhelmed with the thought of worship that was like the roar of rushing waters. What a great lesson for worship leaders! Instead of just trying to instruct people on what to do in worship, we need to start directing them on whom to look at! When people see God for who He really is, they can’t help but worship loudly and extravagantly.”
A visual preview of the DVD/CD, which features guest musicians Stu G (Delirious?) and Carl Albrecht (Paul Baloche), is available at “Rushing Waters”. A free chord chart for the song is available at “Rushing Waters” chord chart.
Dustin Smith is a husband and father of three young children. In addition to his own independent recordings and his forthcoming release with Integrity Music, Smith has been featured on collections including Integrity’s iWorship Now/Next double album. He has also authored several teaching resources and served as a facilitator on songwriting related topics Additional information is available at
